Koala Voice

“They’re young, fierce, spontaneous on stage and have great songs,” our Monika describes band Koala Voice from Slovenia. She saw them in Fuga, at Pin Conference and Eurosonic, where they also caught the attention of DIY Magazine that named them one of the festival’s “Five Best Discoveries”. Their dynamic indie is coming to Pohoda 2017 as well.

With their beautiful, freshly naive mix of indie, rock & pop of the 70s, they won hearts and votes in the Slovenian best high school bands competition. In the last couple of years, they played more than 100 gigs, including performances at Exit, Liverpool Sound City, Wild Mint in Moscow, Waves, Eurosonic, Reeperbahn or Tallinn Music Week. They released their debut Kangaroo’s A Neighbor in February 2015. Currently, they are finishing their follow-up record, produced by Danton Supple (who also collaborated with Coldplay or U2). After their concert at Liverpool Sound City, they were praised for their catchy riffs and rhythm as well as interaction with people by portal Getintothis. After the energetic set they put on, the English were asking for an encore. After their performance at Eurosonic, Monika and Michal asked for more of their music as well. Therefore, Koala Voice will be playing Pohoda 2017.
