DJ Click in his set + project Click Here

At our festival, two performances of DJ Click will be held. One in his DJ set, and the other with his project Click Here.

12. May 2015

DJ Click

French music producer DJ Click has got remixes of the likes of Manu Chao or Warsaw Village Band as well as collabs with Rona Hartner (Roma traditions) or Issa Bagayogo (African remixes) under his belt. His music comprises a wide range of inspirations from all around the world. He takes a very sensitive approach when using themes from individual cultures and motives from different periods, all that making him the pioneer of worldtronica.

As www.newmodelradio.sk portal mentions, in the proximity of old villages of Catalonia, he founded Forest Cube: an artist residence of 280 square meters with walls up to six meters high. It’s a place for musicians, artists, filmmakers, actors and dancers to meet and work, equipped with a mobile studio that is easy to transport – for instance to India. And it’s even easier for him to transport audiences to various parts of the world during his gigs. In July, he’s going to please our music travelers as well.

Click here is an untraditional music project of several musicians from Moldova to Spain centered around the French music producer DJ Click. With this live project, his worldtronica has been taken to a whole new level. A few years of improvisation and recording in make-shift studios across Europe led to the release of album BalkAndalucia.

The band presents musical postcards from southern Europe on stage. The songs are a folklore celebration of the 21st century. They take listeners to an electro-gypsy odyssey at its best. Click Here performances are as vivid as the nature of nations the act takes inspiration from. In a limited space, BalkAndalucia tells the story of a number of experiences from nomad adventures of the project’s author. Flamenco dancer Lori La Armenia, vocalist Nadia Potinga, accordion player Viorel Potinga, brass virtuoso Tudorel Mihai and the above-mentioned DJ Click have marked Trenčín as one of their travel destinations for this year.
