This led them to start an unconventional project, in which electronic and club music is combined with string quartet and live instruments. Digital 21 has always been true to his artistic concept of absolute independence. He records all the instruments in his songs, creates videos for his performances, and also directs his music videos. In 2010 and 2012, he was a finalist of the Spanish Independent Music Awards. He has also composed music for museums and dance companies, and is also famous in the field of visual arts.
Stefan Olsdal is best known as the bassist and guitarist of the band Placebo. He got closer to electronic music through the project Hotel Persona. Along with David Ame and Javier Sola, they originally produced dance music for their friendsʼ parties; gradually, this „leisure time activities“ grew into big performances in Milan, Paris, London, Rio de Janeiro, and Barcelona.
DJ MAG described their joint project as a gift of more personal electronic music. They will release their debut album this year and have a number of concerts and performances at festivals ahead. They will also come to Pohoda.
