Balloon HateFree Chain – a fantastic installation from Burning Man Festival
In collaboration with the Open Society Fund, we are bringing one of the most interesting installations of the festival Burning Man to our festival — a chain of balloons. The simple concept is brought into an impressive appearance as helium inflated balloons held on a 500 m silicone rope form various arches and shapes.
19. June 2015
LED lit at night, they change the appearance of the grounds in the horizontal direction. You often remain amazed at how the festival can change thanks to this “little thing”. The chain will be installed by Robert Bose from New York and his team, while visitors can hold the whole chain, too — they just need to find its beginning. Our own experience says it is a wonderful feeling!
The installation has already appeared at other festivals; it has become typical of the renowned Coachella. Our balloon chain will be called HateFree Chain, as part of the campaign of the Open Society Fund “Say it to my face” aimed at combating online hating. However, this will not be the only related activity offered. Do not forget to stop at the infostands OPEN, FREE, and MIND, where you can learn more about the project and get a practical map of the festival grounds along with the programme. Pohoda, the baloon chain will be called HateFree Chain.
