Just yesterday – the day we announced Caroline Polachek’s performance at Pohoda 2023 – the American singer and producer (with roots in Slovakia, by the way) released her second solo album “Desire, I Want To Turn Into You“. And we are glad that the response from music reviewers, critics and fans alike exceeded probably all expectations. DIY Magazine, Evening Standard, PopMatters and Dork gave the album a full 100 points, and the overall critics' score on albumoftheyear.org reached 90 points. → read more

Slovak star Jana Kirschner, the popular Tata Bojs from the Czech Republic and the legendary Slovak band Karpatské chrbáty have been added to the programme of the biggest Slovak festival. The nominees for the Radio_Head Awards in the Discovery of the Year category – the duo Meowlau X Val and the band Krstní otcovia – will also perform. Visitors can also look forward to the Slovak-Czech-Norwegian project Angrusori, underground rapper RNZ, pop star Zea and punk band RozpoR. → read more

Rap star Central Cee, slowthai and legend Suzanne Vega will perform at Pohoda 2023

Even more music stars and legends will perform in Slovakia this year. The organizers of Pohoda Festival introduced nine more international artists who will perform at Trenčín Airport on 6 – 8 July 2023. Festival visitors can look forward to representatives of the global rap scene such as Central Cee, slowthai or Shygirl, as well as singers Suzanne Vega and Perfume Genius, Arooj Aftab, Mandidextrous, Amor Elefante and O.. The line-up released so far will also include representatives of drum & bass, indie-rock, jazz, and world music. → read more

Our friends from Ukrainian festival Atlas has won a prestigious European award

Ukrainian festival Atlas and charity initiative Music Saves Ukraine have won the prestigious Take a Stand Award, presented by the European Festival Awards. Vlad Yaremchuk, our close friend and program director of Atlas Festival, accepted the award directly at Eurosonic Festival in Groningen, the Netherlands. The Take a Stand Award aims to raise awareness for social engagement in the European music and creative industries. → read more
