SJ yellow is a breath of fresh air on the Prague electronic scene (and beyond), captivating audiences with her infectious positive energy—both behind the decks and off them. Originally from Poprad (hence the SJ, for Starý Juh housing estate), she first started DJing in Thailand, but it was in Prague that her career really took off. She’s now a resident at Fuchs2 and also runs her own events, including noRemorse RAVE and Duracell Prague.
She was a professional dancer for about ten years, which may be why she has such a keen sense of what’s happening on the dancefloor and can effortlessly tailor her set to match the vibe. As a versatile DJ, she seamlessly blends sub-genres, from techno and electronic music to breakbeat, trance, and psytrance. Having grown up on hip-hop, R&B, and funk, these influences are unmistakably present in her sets.
She recently told the Czech magazine Full Moon, “Over the past two years, I’ve been playing faster and faster. It just makes me feel more alive.” And we have no doubt she’ll get the crowd moving at Trenčín Airport as well.
