After its debut at last year's Sun Salutation at Pohoda, the special rendition of Mort Garson's iconic 1976 album Mother Earth's Plantasia will return to Trenčín Airport for Pohoda 2024. This time, you can enjoy this rare project during the day, so there's no risk of sleeping through it :).
The album, commonly known as Plantasia, is aptly subtitled "Music for plants and the people who love them." This live performance will feature four synthesizers played by Kristína Smetanová, Haimoni Balgavá, Peter Kunzo, and Martin Majlo Štefánik.When first released, the album had very limited distribution; it was only available to those who bought a plant at a plant store. Today, Plantasia is an iconic classic, and was even re-released in 2019.
"As someone living amidst the constant noise of the city and the presence of music, I often escape into nature to find inspiration. Plantasia is music for plants, and I'm thrilled to contribute to a project with such a beautiful concept, touching the essence of creation and perhaps giving something back," says Kristína Smetanová, who was in charge of the creation of this project.
