BSÍ IS

BSÍ, consisting of Silla Thorarensen and Julius Pollux, playfully named their band after Reykjavik's bus station, which they describe as the most miserable place in Iceland. This choice reflects the band's ability to inject humor into their work and not take themselves too seriously.

Their music is a delightful blend of heartfelt lo-fi punk with a pop twist. Their debut album Sometimes DepressedBut Always Antifascist (2021) features 5 melancholic tracks that perfectly capture the Icelandic atmosphere, complemented by 5 faster and harder hits that instantly transport you to a sunny beach in Florida. Both facets of their music are equally remarkable and amazing.

If you haven't heard of BSÍ yet, be sure to check them out, because in addition to their concert at Pohoda, they have new material coming out later this year.
